Adriana won a Silver Medal at the XI Latin- American Astronomy and Astronautics Olympiad in Puebla, Mexico. Adriana was one of 5 students who represented Colombia together with 45 students from eleven countries: (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay).
Adriana is an 11th Grade student who from the age of 15 has been taking part in The National Science Olympiads; her love of astronomy and physics has led to her preparing for the Olympiads for several years. In August 2019, she was one of the group of students who represented Colombia in the International Astronomy Olympiad in Hungry. ‘It was great to travel and meet people with the same interests.’ Adriana’s words at the School Assembly on Friday.
‘I am very lucky to be able to take part in international events where I get to see other cultures and where I meet new people, make friends and live unforgettable moments.’
