2020 was a year full of challenges, opportunities and flexibility in the face of changing circumstances. We had to adjust to a new way of life and the consequent implications. School was operational and we went ahead with all major activities. However, there was an event, we postponed for a few months to give the pupils graduating in the middle of a global pandemic, a special celebration.
On the 12th December 2020 a graduation ceremony was carried out in two parts. At 8.00 a.m. on line, staff, representatives from among the pupils, parents and guests addressed the graduates with words of farewell and best wishes for the future. For the first time the whole school was able to enjoy a Graduation Ceremony.
The second part was a major logistical event so that graduates and parents could collect their diplomas. They were welcomed by teaching staff, administrative staff, assistants, kitchen staff and workers who ensured that all the safety protocols were carried out.
There were three entry points for the cars and a number of sites where the graduates were able to take photos and enjoy the activities prepared for them. On the last site, they were handed their diplomas and given an embrace (from a distance) to celebrate the end of their 14 years at school.
It was a challenge and it took several days to organise this special ceremony in a responsible way. It was a collective effort and a big success.
Best Wishes to our graduates 2020
