Our Earth is a magic place with an amazing variety of life forms, climates, scenery and communities with interesting cultures. We have heard multiple times that earth provides all we need. This is true but we are wasting these resources by not using them in an efficient, balanced way.
Every day we see the results of the mismanagement of the natural resources. Climate is changing, rivers are contaminated, oceans are full of plastic, soil is no longer fertile, forests are being destroyed and biodiversity is at risk; this all a danger to human life.
Without the biodiversity, new viruses appear; without trees there is no clean air; without water there are no crops and big cities cannot survive. Climate change exposes us to disasters and our health is affected by the lack of environmental awareness.
But not all is negative. Today on Earth Day, we want you to know that it is not too late to reverse our actions. We can transform our economies by using renewable energy sources, expand sustainable mobility, clean our rivers, recycle our waste, return to organic farming, restore the ecosystems that have been destroyed and protect the biodiversity.
The COVID 19 pandemic has shown us that by acting together, we can achieve a common goal.
Let us unite to look after our little planet!
