Thursday 10^th September at 5 p.m. we will form an alliance with the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo.  This provides us with an exclusive digital platform that contains cultural and artistic benefits for all the schools involved.

Our philosophy is to enable students to develop in a happy, healthy way. For this reason, we offer a variety of recreational, sporting, cultural, artistic and musical activities that will help generate strong bonds of friendship and the appropriate use of free time. “We believe that cultural activities allow students to channel and express their emotions in a positive way for their own personal development.” Jaime Acosta- Headmaster.

The cultural and artistic activities are part of the school academic curriculum. The music programme includes ensembles such as the Tropical Band, rock bands and the Symphonic Orchestra and Band that in recent years have represented Bogotá in National Music Band Competitions.

We have other activities such as Clubs, Clubs in Houses and Talent Groups, as well as the extracurricular activities that promote dance, theatre, photography, music, fine arts and public speaking among others.  A major example of this cultural display is the ‘SGS Musical’ that every year assembles the talents of our students and is performed in the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo.

As an educational establishment, we know that the cultural activities are fundamental for the development of our students’ interests, talents and forms of individual expression that will remain with them for the rest of their lives.  For this reason, we have formed the alliance with the Teatro Mayor as part of the programme ‘Socios al Mayor Escolar (SAMES) to enhance the cultural and educational development of our students.
