This week we continue with our workshop series, Engaging in English. Last week, in the Introduction, we talked about some of the myths of bilingualism and summarized our time this way:
Being bilingual can always bring benefits to our children for their academic lives, but also their personal, social and cultural experiences.
All families have resources and ideas already that can be adapted to include bilingualism.
Everyone in the SGS Community, with a little bit or a lot of English, can begin to see themselves and their families as bilingual, and that opens our eyes to more possibilities as we are on this language-learning journey with our children.
If you participated last week – we will continue on Thursday 21 May (6:30 – 8:00 PM) or Saturday 23 May (9:30 – 11:00 AM) on Teams.
If you did not participate last week, but would like to join us, please send an email to lenis.rodriguez@sgs.edu.co and she will register you.
