The school has in place a programme which teaches environmental awareness to the whole community. Taking into account the main points of the PRAE (the Environmental Educational Project), the specific objectives are:

Waste

• – Written plan of action for the management of waste.
• – Bulk of waste should be adequately sorted by all members of school.
• – Community awareness of importance of sorting waste.
• – Reinforce final process of waste disposal.

Management and Sustainable Use of Resources

• – Create infrastructure for sustainable use of resources in the future.
• – Implement strategies for management and consumption of natural resources.

Biodiversity

• – Update taxonomical inventory of flora and fauna in school.
• – Raise awareness of the environmental importance of school as a Natural Reserve and as a passageway to the wetland of ‘Humedal La Conejera’.
• – Establish an environmental policy to promote ecological study and preservation of school environment.

Health and Environment

• – Raise awareness of healthy life style through exercise, proper nutrition, medical and psychological care.
• – Create healthy environment (buildings in good settings with adequate lighting, fresh air and absence of noise pollution).

Environmental Education

• – Educate all members to be environmentally aware.
• – Establish strategies for management of waste, sustainable use of resources and preservation of the biodiversity, health and environment.
