We wish to share yet another of the achievements of one our pupils. Congratulations to José Ramón Garrido who again took part in the Junior  National Equestrian Championship.

José Ramón began horse riding in 2016 in the riding school of the Club Hípico in Bacatá and has taken part in several competitions.  Last year before the pandemic, he was CHAMPION AND RUNNER-UP in the Horse Trials. This year he came first in the Junior National Championship.

The Horse Trials are made up of three disciplines, dressage, cross country and show jumping.  José Ramon trains 4 or 5 times a week as well as grooming his horse, (creating a rapport between rider and horse).

He trains with Juan Carlos Tafur, a former pupil of the School (graduated 2nd year). Juan Carlos has represented Colombia in many Horse Trials: Pan American, Bolivarian, Central American and Olympic.
