We proudly announce that our 8th grade students Mariana Feo, Kathrine Van Brackel, Emiliana Millán and Alejandra Rincón were among the winners of the competition ‘Scientist for a Day – Category 2 organised by NASA. Their winning essay was ‘Titania, the Queen of fairies, a midnight dream waiting to be discovered’
In recognition of our students participation and the excellence of their essay, the Colombian organisers of the competition invited our students to a conference on the 7th May, with leading Colombian astrophysicists, known worldwide: Claudia Gutierrez – field of study: Supernovas – Chile, Karla Pena – field of study: brown dwarfs – Chile, Patrick Antolin – field of study: sun’s corona – France and Andres Alejandro Plazas: field of study: dark energy – USA.
