María Paula Ulloa Peña began practicing gymnastics in 2015, at the age of eleven.  She started from the basic level and soon she was selected to participate in level 2 of Artistic Gymnastics in various national and international competitions that same year.

At the beginning of 2016, she entered level 3.  Thanks to her arduous commitment and discipline, she achieved the following recognitions:

After participating in three competitions, two national and one international in Florida- USA, she obtained 15 medals: 6 gold, 6 silver, one of 4th place and two of 5th place.  In addition, she won a trophy for “First Place All Around” in Florida- USA and a trophy for 2nd place in teams in USA.

• First Stop of USAG Levels of Artistic Gymnastics

On May 21, 2016 she participated in the first National Artistic Gymnastics Competition held in Bogotá and was NATIONAL CHAMPION at level 3, among 68 gymnasts from all over the country.  There she won 3 gold medals (beam, jump and general individual), 1 silver medal (ground) and 5th place in asymmetric bars.

 

• National Rhythmic Gymnastics (Preinfantil, Infantil and Juvenil)

On September 30, 2016 she participated in the 2nd National Championship in Sogamoso and won 4 silver medals and one of 5th place, she was SUB-CHAMPION nationally.

 

• International in USA

On October 23, 2016, she participated in a competition in Florida, USA (Gasparilla) and was CHAMPION in the level, obtaining 3 gold medals (beam, floor and individual general), 1 silver medal (jump) and one 4th place in asymmetric bars.

 

• International Cup of USAG Levels, Third Stop.

On December 3, she participated in the last event of 2016 in the city of Cali, obtaining first place (Gold in beam); second place (Silver in jump); second place (Silver in bars); fourth place (floor); and second place in Individual General.
